A Conversation with Carla Casini

I recently had the opportunity to speak with Carla about her work and her journey as an artist. Here is an excerpt from our conversation:

Me: How did you get started painting?

Carla: I started painting when I was a teenager. I had always loved art, but I didn't think I could pursue it as a career because of my vision loss. But then I discovered finger painting, and it was like a whole new world opened up to me.

Me: What inspires your paintings?

Carla: I'm inspired by my memories, my travels, and my dreams. I love to paint scenes that are full of color and texture. I want my paintings to evoke emotions and to make people think.

Me: What are your goals as an artist?

Carla: I want to use my art to inspire others. I want to show people that even if they have disabilities, they can still achieve their dreams. I also want to raise awareness of retinitis pigmentosa and other visual impairments.

Me: What advice would you give to aspiring artists?

Carla: Don't let anything stop you from pursuing your dreams. If you have a passion for art, don't give up on it. Find a way to express yourself, and don't be afraid to share your work with the world.

Carla Casini is an inspiration to all of us. Her story shows us that even when faced with challenges, we can still find ways to express ourselves and connect with the world around us. Her art is a reminder that beauty can be found in the most unexpected places.
