Lester Kurtz was not a household name, but he was a man who played a pivotal role in some of the most important events of the 20th century. From his humble beginnings as a small-town lawyer to his involvement in the Manhattan Project and the Cuban Missile Crisis, Kurtz was a behind-the-scenes figure who helped shape the course of history.

Kurtz was born in 1905 in a small town in Ohio. He was the son of a farmer and a schoolteacher. Kurtz was a bright and ambitious young man, and he excelled in school. He went on to study law at the University of Michigan, and after graduating, he returned to his hometown to practice law.

In the early 1940s, Kurtz was recruited to work on the Manhattan Project, the top-secret government project to develop the atomic bomb. Kurtz was responsible for drafting the legal contracts that allowed the government to acquire the land and materials needed for the project. He also helped to negotiate the agreements with the scientists who worked on the bomb.

After the war, Kurtz continued to work for the government. He was involved in the development of the hydrogen bomb and the space race. In 1962, Kurtz was appointed to the National Security Council, where he played a key role in resolving the Cuban Missile Crisis.

Kurtz was a brilliant and dedicated public servant. He was a man of integrity and principle, and he always put the interests of his country first. He was a true American hero, and his story is an inspiration to us all.
