The 6th Thailand Rail Academic Symposium (TRAS) was held from 12-14 October 2022 at the Centara Grand at CentralWorld in Bangkok, Thailand. The symposium was organized by the Thailand Rail Academic Network (TRAcNet) and the National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA).
The TRAS is a biennial event that brings together academics, researchers, industry professionals, and policymakers to discuss the latest advancements and challenges in Thailand's rail sector. The symposium provides a platform for researchers to present their findings and for practitioners to share their experiences and insights.
The theme of the 6th TRAS was "Unlocking the Potential of Thailand's Rail Sector." The symposium explored the challenges and opportunities facing Thailand's rail sector in the coming years. Symposium Program

The symposium also featured a keynote speech by Dr. Chaiyuth Mankhong, the Deputy Minister of Transport of Thailand. In his speech, Dr. Mankhong outlined the government's plans to invest in rail infrastructure and technology to support the growth of the rail sector.
